Something that often happens to headlights is that over time, with the erosion and the sun, they become translucent I’m talking about this, they lose transparency and they look very ugly This is solved polishing them If they are too bad, if they have crust, we should use a water-sand But after some time, it happens again I polished them about 6 months ago, and it has happened again But this time, I’m going to show you how to fix them permanently For this we will need: a drill, it doesn’t have to be good or powerful, any will do polish, this is devastator and brightening, but the most important is that it’s silicone-free Silicones are a kind of solvents that some polishes have which stay forever in the car and if you repaint it, the paint will lift or directly drop. You’ll also need a velcro head like this one, they are very cheap and we put it in the drill’s mouth and then we put the sponge in the velcro. Polishing is used to recover the paint of the car when you’ve a scratch or if you want to brighten it. If you don’t know what this is, in other countries it is called ‘Polish’. Shake the pot and bear in mind that it’s very probable that your cloths and the car end up fill with white dots as when you brush your teeth in front of the mirror, thus, it’s better if you wear clothes that you don’t like much and also, it’s good to have a hose near to clean the car, since if it dries, then it’s hard to remove those dots. Apply it here do it slowly If your headlights weren’t too bad, it won’t take long to do it, this one is already smooth and transparent. As you can see, in a few minutes, the headlights are like new, from any angle, no tricks, since it was here where they were yellowish. Now comes the difficult part and is that you have to paint it with spray it has to be for plastics, because the headlights are made of plastic and for outdoors, since it will be outside and high gloss, so would stays exactly the same as now, or even better. I’ve already tried this and it has given me good results What this does is avoid that in six months, as has happened to me, it turns yellow again and it will be protected from sun rays and erosion, as the car’s paint We first clean the headlight, well cleaned, look how dirty this get. When it isn’t dirty anymore, it is time to paint. I’ve already covered it, it may seem that I had put too many papers but if those paint specks dry, then it’s difficult to remove them; so better to over do it than to fall short. Shake the spray and try it out. It’s best to apply the coats closely, because if you’re far, it remains smothered and with a matt effect however, don’t apply to much because it will leave drops With a good layer is more than enough So this is how they are once you’ve painted them and this is how they were before. You can notice the difference, can’t you? I hope that you have enjoyed the video, a greeting and see you to the next video.
