good morning guys. I’m Riccardo.
Welcome back to my lab. first of all, sorry for these days of absence.
I’ve been full of work and commitments and I could not dedicate myself to mine
channel. then, today I will unboxing and the review of this sandblasting gun
compressed air from Parkside, bought at the lidl. the model is pdsp 1000 D4. actually more than one real review, it’s a test
because I’ve never used one such tool. so I will do the
try, today with you live, being a hobbyist and being one
non-professional tool, being therefore dedicated to those in need of
use it rarely, possibly for the first time, me, in the role of the hobbyist
that for the first time uses this tool, just by brush
do this this test. this review, try, how we want to call it.
so I open the package, we read the label as usual, after that, the
I try with a rusty fender and I try to remove a bit of paint.
we open. before unboxing, though, as always
we read the label printed on the package. from this we can see that it is
an ideal sandblasting gun for remove paint color, rung, dirt
obstinate. has a flow with jet adjustable and is suitable for all municipalities
spray materials, with grain that is from 0.21 – 0.35 mm of grain size 40-60.
included accessories that are ideal for the effective processing of
edges and, large and small surfaces size. the air consumption is 320
liters per minute. the sandblasting tank is 0.9
liters. the working pressure is of maximum 6.3 BAR. the
supplied accessories, are a lot of collection with screw clamps, a fitting
already mounted, a jet accessory flat point, for edges or for
corners. has 2 kg of spray material (aluminum oxide), with
grit 0.21-0.35 mm (grain 40-60). the Recommended compressor is starting from
50 liters of volume. it is recommended read the instructions …
so before using this tool, it is good to read of
instruction and safety manual. the flexible hose is not supplied.
so I can open the package e see the content. cut the seal,
and we open this package. inside the package we have the
accessories, the sandblasting gun and the sand. on the lower part there is also
the instruction manual, which is to be read and keep. and then … let’s see well
what we found inside of the package.
this is the sandblasting gun. this is the part from which the air comes out.
this is the graft that must be connected to the compressor hose.
this is the collection bag. is this is the compartment within which it goes
the abrasive powder inserted, then the sand. we have supplied only 40-60 grit. This needs to be filled after which you stop. It is operated via this switch trigger. this is the knob, which from 0 to 1,
allows us to open and close. and this is the collection bag, which
it can be emptied, or through this zipper, or unscrewing directly the
screw clamp. let’s say that as a conception it is
simple enough. It has a full tank of sand, which is sprayed with air
forward. therefore, on surfaces, it goes to peeling, cleaning and discoloring. these
they are the supplied adapters. according to the form of the
surface on which we must work, we must use one or the other. they are made of rubber
It lasts and every form is then used in based on what we have to work on.
good … so now I’ll work on one rusty surface. first I clean it,
after which I will use it with my 50 compressor liters of the parkside, which is not a
compressor and with high performance. because if we’re talking about one
tool that can be found in garages of anyone,
surely anyone will not have a 600-liter compressor
super professional. but it will have a compressor small from 24 or 50 liters. I have that from 50
liters, so I try it with that. I put my mask, headphones, glasses
protective, and gloves. after which, I can use the tool. not
we underestimate the risk of inhaling the sand that is sprayed. it is well known
that the use of the sandblaster, if not properly protected, it can cause gods
damage that we must not underestimate. so, I recommend. before filling the sand tank, it goes disconnected compressed air. so, I open and put the
sand inside. I filled up, almost 3/4
of the capacity of the Serbaotio … cap for good. well. we are ready to try
remove this rust from this Vespa Piaggio fender. I have
already mounted the accessory on the part front. it is the accessory for surfaces
flat. it is a hard rubber, therefore enters by scrolling and stops automatically
when it arrives on this ledge. the selector is set to 0, for now. then
I connect compressed air. perfect. the zipper is closed. all right. I put the
mask, the headphones is the glasses. then I move the selector to 1, and I do the
first try. the Parkside compressor is already put at 6.3 BAR.
OK I go… honestly, the environment fills up
a lot of sand. there is a toxic cloud absurd. I have my mask, then
at the moment “I can afford” between quotes to stay here. shortly though,
I go out. but as you can see here, ha immediately remove the rust.
continuous. perfectly removes the wrinkle from the surfaces. I did quickly, and already has almost all the wrinkle removed. now,
let’s test it a little bit more tough.
let’s try to remove the varnish e the rust. now, let’s try to remove the
paint from this fire extinguisher.
let’s see if we can remove something. and then guys, what should I say about
this sander? it works. it works, because it removes rust.
it works because it removes the paint. this is the rust that has taken away from this
fender. he removed it practically almost everything. then, as I said
at the beginning, I do not know how to use it yet. I lost a little bit more time, in some
areas, where he removed most compared to others. but let’s say that everything
added to his work he did it. and he has it done quickly.
as for rust a little bit more obstinate, on this
fire extinguisher also managed to remove it quickly. on this side I removed the
rust and it took very little time for it remove it. instead here, to remove the
paint was almost practically needed a container of sand. sincerely on
this disappointed me a lot. instead on the removal of the
rust was very fast. as I said at the beginning, I’m not from the
sector. so I can not use it well. I’m a hobbyist and if I need to repaint
the gate of the house, which is rusty, with this sandblaster, I hope for power. (… I got everything dirty …). I hope to succeed remove all the rust. However
I honestly used it only for remove that little bit of rust and that
little paint, and I practically used almost two sand containers. will I be wrong ?!
will it be designed like that? it will be necessary provide a structure, a kind of
cabin, which recovers the sand that however it must be filtered. indeed by the way, the
sand must be perfectly dry and you should not use any
type of lubricant, for this type of tools. the dry air of the
compressor. guys, yes dirty the whole environment. as you have
seen a cloud formed. let’s say it’s not something to use in
closed rooms. I did the test with all open – I did the air and it is
I’ve already finished for over an hour. so the environment is healthy. I can stay
here to talk. however objectively, when I activated it, a cloud formed. self
he had not had the aired environment already immediately, it would not have been
possible to stay. so it must be done outdoors … anyway always with the
worn mask. with all the protections. for the eyes, for the hands, for the
ears (because the compressor active almost immediately). after that,
if you can recover the sand, then you can hope to remove
the rust from all a fender or all a body … or a gate. in my opinion, if you have to do something small, go well. otherwise I do not know how valuable it is
worth using something like that. with a small compressor, as you have seen,
however he succeeds. it’s only 50 liters. the difference between a 50 liters like the
mine, and the 24 liter one, is only in the tank size. then
a 24 liter compressor, with the engine like mine, will succeed
definitely working the same way. all right. I hope I have been helpful. it’s not a review. it’s a video story, of my experience in first use
of this tool. I know I have committed, possibly to some error,
but in good faith. I used it like anyone of you, who could use it
passing through the shelves of the lidl ha spotted this tool, and thought
to be able to buy it because it could come back to him useful. to repaint
what happens. that is rusty, or up surfaces from which you must remove
the color before coloring again. said this, I greet you and thank you for
have seen this video all the way. I’ll give you an appointment for the next videos
