Hi, Polynesians, how are you? I am Karen and I am super happy to be with you. These are my social media for you to follow me, there I am talking with you all the time, and well today I’m going to teach you how to do, well I’m not going, I was going to teach you you how to do a back-to-school bento, super cool of pokemon, but you guys started to make some revolution on the Internet, using a hashtag that was #RafaEnMusas, so I’ll please you Polynesians with that, and my brother, Rafa probably some of you do not know him but I’m going to introduce him. And he’s my brother Rafael, he’s a beautiful sausage. No it’s not true. He is my brother Rafa and many of you Polynesians, already know him is Rafa Polinesio and many of you decided that Rafa did the tutorial so, you will teach the Polynesians to do … No, let’s see what I wrote on Twitter is that I would like to be in a video of muses, then everyone started to cooperate that they also wanted me to be in muses, so people asked for it, I will not do it because I’ve never done bentos, I have no idea how they are made.
So well, we can do a challenge so, let’s do the same tutorial, your version and my version of how we would do it. Okay, we’ll make bentos, this is Japanese lunch I’ve never done any. I want to see the images. I’ll show you the images so you’re not so lost of what the bento is. The challenge will be to make two pokemons, a Jigglypuff and a Pikachu. Okay, then we’re going to have to do it in the form of a lunch and the coolest one is the one that’s going to win, okay? Yes I like it. Well, Polynesians let’s start! To decorate these bentos, we will use vegetables, egg, cheese and ham. Oh, and do not forget the dyes, mainly the bentos are made of rice, we will also use nori seaweed and beans to decorate. For this challenge, Karen and I were in different places of the house. So I could not copy her because I really didn’t know how to make the bentos, and she did, so I’m not going to copy of her techniques. The first thing I did was paint the rice of diferent colors. For that I divided the rice into the parts that I would need depending on the colors. What I did was to do it with a spoon so that I didn’t stain myself. I did not do it with a spoon, and I did it with my fingers, so every time that I used a color my fingers finished all sticky filled with rice and colors, then in the end it was a lot of color in my hands because I did not think of using a spoon. I recommend you to decorate this type of rice, you wet your hands or use a spoon because it really is super sticky. Since I had the colors I was going to use, what I did next was put some vitafilm paper so that I could mold the figures I needed and so that the rice would not stick in my hands. And well, I started a yellow rice ball to make the pikachu, I used a spoon because I was tired of having everything stick in my hand and then I took it out and started to do the ball with my hands and put it on top of the vegetables that I already had. I started making the separate pieces, for example, first I made Pikachu, then I started making the ears I needed, I did this with the vitafilm, as you can see it is very simple. Since I had finished my Pikachu, I started to see the Jigglypuff and basically what I did was a super circular ball because there was no other way to make this pokemon, I did everything with the spoon and then I took it out and started doing it with the hands to make it super circular. My Jigglypuff was also round, but it was more like a chubby tortilla. And I put them on a plate to have all the pieces together. What I did with the rice I had left, were the legs. For example, for the legs and with that I started to make the Jigglypuff ears. Bentos are super common in Japan, they are like lunch, they can be eaten by adults and children.
For example, adults are much simpler and look like sushi. Those of the children are very cool because they are very creative and you can do so many things because the important thing is that they have fun when they eat their lunch. And also what I learned from this tutorial is that bentos are made with food, I mean all you can use for food to make these figures, it is super welcome. The good thing about this, the cool thing is that you have to be super creative to use all the different types of food and make each piece of the lunch. You have to keep in mind that to make these rice figures you have to use sushi rice and use the recipe of this rice that is a bit sticky, I’ll leave you in the description of the video the link so that you can make rice for sushi. To improve the decoration, something that both of us came up with is to make a pokeball. I did it like I did all the previous pokemons. I used a mold for cake pops and made two halves of spheres, and what I did was 2 balls one white and one red. Then I broke it with a knife, there you can see that it is a little undone, and later when I put the 2 parts together and made them little balls, it is not even notice that they had been destroyed, it looks super round. I put them on vitafilm so I could easily take them out and then what I did was put them together and start giving them a little more spherical shape. For the details what both of us came up with was to use the nori seaweed that is this one and that is already dry. I really abused this seaweed because I decorated almost everything with that. What I did was cut 2 triangles and a line, I used the line to divide the pokeball and it looked more real and the little triangles were to decorate the ears of Pikachu. I started to decorate Jigglypuff, I actually made several pieces of this because I wanted the Jigglypuff to be full body. For the white part of the center of the pokeball, I used a little dot of rice and that gives more realism to the pokeball. For the cheeks of Pikachu I cut a tomato by the edges so that it would have this shape like round and put them on his cheeks. I used ham to make the mouth of the Pikachu. And I also used the tips of the tomatoes to make the cheeks. For the eyes I used a few dots of rice like in the pokeball. With the nori seaweed I put the details of the ears and on the edge of the mouth, because the ham ham was very light, I put a little bit of water nori. I still used the seaweed to put it in the ears of Jigglypuff. And rice painted blue to make its eyes that at the end they were like if it was super angry and bad. He was like a Gengar more than a Jigglypuff. For Jigglypuff’s eyes I used boiled egg, the important thing is to make the details with the food, then you have to take care of that so that it is perfect. Then with blue rice I put the blue pupils. For the smile of Jigglypuff I used a slice of sausage, I cut it in the form that he was smiling, and the details of the ears I put them with nori seaweed. Now it’s time to assemble the bentos, I put some spinach in the bottom or you can also use lettuce, the point of this is that they are very nutritious, so use many vegetables, for example, I used tomato, I also put a little of panela cheese. And I passed the pokemones. Yes, my Pikachu broke a bit, but do not worry because the rice was quite sticky and I could put it together. Mine to make it more nutritious, I used carrot and then I did something super cool that is a Pokemon Go egg, that you have to walk several km so that they brake, for decorations of the spots I put them with the rice that I had already painted. Then it occurred to me to make a Digglet, so I did it with a sausage, I put eyes of nori seaweed and then the beans that we had to decorate. The point of this is that you put food that you can eat cold so that you can take it to school. And as we had told you, it was in separate places of the house so nobody had seen the other’s bento. Polynesians let’s see because I have not seen Rafa’s version, and he has not seen mine. So let’s see how it is. Okay, let’s see. We finished this competition, do not see. We finished this competition, we are going to show each other because you have already seen the final result, let’s see how they are. I compressed it, my 2 pokemon into one. Okay. Are you ready? Yes, 1, 2, 3! Oh my God! Why? This is evil, yes, because my eyes did not come out, so I put these ones. How beautiful! Do you like mine? Mine has a Pokemon Go egg. It’s like expectation vs. reality, or an adult person and an elementary child who did this. you made Digglet, you made a Pokemon Go egg I made a pokeball, a pikachu. I was going to make Digglet also for the sausage but it did not fit anymore, I felt like I was stuck with pokemons, so I decided to leave it like that. Now my Jigglypuff with yours. Mine looks like a bad Gennga. It’s super ugly! Polynesians, right now it’s going to come out on the screen a survey, who do you think is the winner, if Karen or me, whoever wins, is going to paint the other hair on our vlogs channel, so that you go and make me win. Polynesians, be objective. Mine was better. Be objective. It has a Pokemon Go egg. Okay it does have a Pokemon Go egg, but the point was to make Pikachu and make Jigglypuff okay? And well, Polynesians up to here today’s video, we hope you liked it. In the part of here are appearing other videos that you can see and also a video that is of back to school so that you are going to see it, it is super cool, so that you have ideas for this return to classes. Exactly, and see you in another video, Polynesians. Bye! Vote! I send you a kiss. Bye! Mua!
